Samantha Emmons

Hello everyone!

My name is Samantha Emmons and i am a senior at GLHS! I was born and raised in Gahanna and hope to stay in Ohio for college by going to The Ohio State University. In college I want to study Nursing and hope to earn my bachelor's degree. I enjoy creative writing and reading mystery books. My favorite subject is science because I'm interested in the medical field. I live with my parents and my 16 year old brother who is a sophomore. I currently have two cats and have had cats all my life. In school I am involved in theatre and have been a part of both productions last year, the fall play, It's A Wonderful Life and the spring musical, Shrek The Musical. I am also a part of the senior theatre class, Performance Studio. I also enjoy the outdoor

s. I spend each summer camp counseling at Camp Wyandot in Hocking Hills, Ohio. I really enjoy teaching kids about outdoors and helping them have a fun summer. I enjoy photography and documenting all the fun things I do. I am taking digital photography to further my knowledge of photography and become a better photographer.

hello im kelcie, I am 17 and my birthday is October 14th. I am a senior and have taken black and white photography 1 and 2. I take a lot of photos in my free time but am excited to see what I can do with the projects in this class. 

 

Halle Hao

Hi, my name is Halle Hao. I am a sophomore and I am 15 years old. I have one older brother, Parker Hao, who is currently attending college in New York at Parsons University. I am a junior varsity basketball cheerleader. I took this course because I love photography, I am also taking black and white film photography. I am constantly listening to music and I have been to a bunch of concerts.

  

Lilly Woodard

Hi, my name is Lilly Woodard and I am a sophomore. I want to be an author, as I love to write, but painting and photography are some big hobbies of mine. I'm taking this class to better my photos since photography is such a big hobby! I currently have one dog, a pug named Jonas, and a younger sister, Elise. I also love the Marvel movies, and alternative music. Going along with the music part, I have seen All Time Low and Panic! At The Disco in concert- since they are my favorite bands.

Hi, my name is Dionte. I am 17 years old. I have one sibling. She is four years old. I am also a junior this school year. I am taking this class because I want to learn how to work a camera better, and take more quality pictures.

Hi my name is Makala and  I'm a senior of this school year. I am taking this class because I want to learn how to take better photos and how to edit them. I'm an only child but I do have a sister on my dads side. I like snapchat.

Hi, my name is Jordan Campbell, I am a sophomore this year. I play varsity hockey and lacrosse for GLHS. I am taking this class, because I love taking pictures! I often take pictures at school sporting events! I went Gahanna middle school south.

Ivon Nguyen

Hi, my name is Ivon and I have one sister and no pets. What I like to do on my free time is listen to music and read. My current favorite album is Blonde and my current favorite book is All the Bright Places. I don't play any sports but I do play the violin.

Hi, my name is Amanda Fire, I am a twin, I am 17, I play basketball in my free time, and I have two dogs.  I chose this class because my dad gave me his old camera and I wanted to learn how to use it.

Kalin Bennington

Hi everyone!, 

My name is Kalin Bennington, and I am currently a senior here at GLHS. I have lived in Gahanna basically my entire life, I moved into the district when I was four years old and haven't lived anywhere else since! However, regardless of the fact that I've lived here forever, I love to travel. My most recent trip was to South Africa last winter to go and visit my family. Theatre has always been a big part of my life as well. I had the opportunity to play Violet Peterson in It's A Wonderful Life! last fall here at GLHS. Also, this summer I was Nala in Disney's The Lion King. After I graduate, I hope to continue my passion of theatre by going to Columbia Chicago College and pursue a Bachelor's in Theatre Education. I am very excited to take this class, and hope that I learn concepts I can use in the future!

Hello Everyone!

I went to Lincoln Elem., MSS, and now GLHS. I love photography. In December of 2015 I got my first DSLR and have since collected other cameras. Those include a Polaroid, a 35mm film, the DLSR, and a pinhole, to name a few. I enjoy math and science and have 2 cats and a fish. 

I can't wait to see what I can learn in this class!

Shannon Gonzales

Hi my name is Shannon Gonzales. I am a junior and I am involved in a lot of activities. I am a varsity bowler for the high school's team. Almost all of my free time is spent bowling. I am in A Cappella choir and I love it because I love to sing and Mr Lahman is an amazing teacher as well. I am the fourth child out of five. Three are older and are actually only half siblings. My younger sister is my only fully related sibling. I guess you could call me a nerd, because I love school. I'm in a lot of honors and AP classes, because I like to challenge myself to the potential I know I have. After high school I plan to go to college to become a medical examiner, because that field of science interests me. I am in digital photography because I enjoy taking pictures and would like to learn more about photography.

Hi my name is Ryan Hawkins. I went to High Point and middle school east. I am a senior this year. I play volleyball year round. I have 1 dog named Braxton. I enjoy drawing and designing. My mom is my English teacher.

My names Noah Grimm. I'm 17 years old. I love exotic cars. I go to monthly car meets. That is why i'm in this class. I want to learn to take better pictures. I've been into cars since i was little. My dad and I always work on cars. He also has a 1968 Pontiac Firebird.

Hi my name is Jeff Avery. I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to California then Boston then Ohio in first grade. I went to Blacklick Elementary. I bowled varsity for 3 years and my highest game is a 286. I have been hit and run over by a car two times. I have been to 3

of the 7 continents.

Hello, I'm Braden Eves. I am in 11th grade and I'm 17 years old. I am not very artistic, but I'm fairly good with technology, so I at least have one of the things needed for this class. I can navigate photoshop but at a very basic level, and will be using my dad's DSLR camera which is very high quality. I am looking forward to this class and hope to get better at photography! I also race Go-Karts nationally, with aspirations to race formula cars when I grow up.

Hi my name is Alex Metz. I am a senior and play football and volleyball for the high school. I live with my mom and dad and also have an older brother who goes to Ohio State.

My name is Ryan Whitacre, I went to High Point, then Middle School East, and now GLHS. I have two younger brothers, two cats, and two dogs. I enjoy music a lot, and enjoy going to concerts with my friends. I am taking this class because I've always enjoyed taking pictures as a hobby.

Hi, my name is Long Tran. I was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States with my parents when I was one year old. I have no pets but I do have 4 younger siblings, three brothers and one sister. I started school in Columbus and moved to Gahanna when I was going into 4th grade. I went to West for middle school.

Tessa Wilson

Hello, my name is Tessa Wilson. I am a junior at Gahanna Lincoln High School. I play ultimate frisbee for the school and I am in ski club. I went to St. Matthew for elementary and middle school. I enjoy alternative / indie music and taking pictures of all of my friends. I want to take Digital Photography to learn how to photoshop and to become a better photographer. My favorite subject is science and my favorite class is robotics.

My name is Justen Shotts. I am an artist aspiring to become an animator/graphic artist. I play ice hockey for my high school, and plan to play on in college. I started school in pre-k, and then went on to elementary at High Point Elementary. I went to Middle School East for middle school, then went on to high school at Gahanna Lincoln High School where I plan to graduate and go off to college.
