Read Poster

I created a "Read Poster" of my personal finance teacher Mr. Hoying. I took several photos of him, liked the lighting in this one the best, then used it in a collage of photos based on his interests. He said he liked golf, OSU Football, and that he was the soccer coach at my high school. I incorporated all of these interests into one poster behind Mr. Hoying, trying my best to make him the main focal point in the image, and the interests telling his story in the background. I also incorporated the OSU logo in his name replacing the 'O' just for extra kicks. Overall I think it turned out pretty well.

Read Poster

Mr Banks grew up in Dover. So for him I made everything Dover themed. The poster in front of him is from a signing of a kid from Dover going to Ohio State.
Mr. Hauser is a government teacher, so I photo shopped him in front of the Capitol building.  I also put the preamble and the beginning of the Declaration of the Independence  behind him.

Ivon's Read Poster

This is my favorite read poster because I think it is is funny. I like how the background is big but Mrs. Prenoveau in her comfy chair is smaller. She also is doing a funny facial expression rather than a serious or smiling one. I like the font and how wavy her name is.

Ryan Whitacre- Read Poster

This is my poster I made of Mrs. Vyas. I like this poster the best because it looks pretty realistic, and it shows her love for reading and the outdoors.
This is my favorite of the two Read posters, due to the Paris background making it look interesting, as well as the cloudy skies. I like the way the colors stand out with everything I put on the picture, and overall I just think the picture turned out well.

Lilly Woodard - Read Poster

I photographed Mr. Mischler who is an English teacher. We are reading The Kit Runner in class, and that is the book he is holding. He likes tennis, is in a band and likes the Rolling Stone magazine. I put him on a Rolling Stone cover to show his interest for that, as well as he has a guitar and tennis racket behind him.

Read Poster

I chose this poster as my favorite because Mr. Hardin likes nature and science very much. Also he's a big fan of soccer and an animal lover. So i combined all of those things onto this poster along with some vibrant colors to go along.

I photographed Mrs.McConaha who is an English teacher. She enjoys reading books and relaxing on the weekends.

Halle Hao - Read

This is my favorite Read Poster that I made out of the two. I like the borders and how it immerses you into the book she said she enjoys. I added the characters and the cornucopia too just to make sure the point is clear.

Sam Kruse- Read Poster

I photographed Mrs. Pershing who is an administrator. She told me she really enjoys camping and the outdoors. I placed her in the woods and next to a tent.

Read Poster - Long Tran

This is my favorite picture since it looks really cool how I put Mr. Branick in a famous moment in US History. I clone stamped George Washington out of the background and replaced him with Mr. Branick.

Alex Metz - Read Poster

I photographed Mr. Culver. He is a football coach for Gahanna so i put him ob the field with some players around him.

Shannon Gonzales-Read Poster

My favorite read poster was the one of Mrs. Wolfe because I liked how it turned out. I like that i was able to cartoon-ize her to match the background

Read Poster

This is my favorite read poster because it shows my teacher Mr. Marshall's interest which is in soccer. His favorite soccer team was the Columbus Crew so I edited him into a crew stadium reading a history book.

Tessa Wilson - READ Poster

My READ Poster is of Mrs. Pizzico. She enjoys sports, and reading about sports, which is why she is sitting on the bleachers. Her favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and her favorite basketball team is the Golden State Warriors. The reason that the book "The Crucible" is in the top left corner is because we are currently reading that play in class.

Larick - Madelin - Read Poster

I photographed Mrs. Bommer. She is a science teacher and really loves space, so I put her floating in outer space and added a spacecraft to the corner.

Samantha Emmons - Read Poster

I chose Mrs. Macioce for my read poster. She is the theatre teacher so I photo shopped her onto the stage of her favorite musical, Hamilton.

this still life was cool because of the zoom in on the soldier and the shirtless guy in the banana arch way.

Alex Metz - Still Life

I took this picture by placing different objects on a white poster board, then taking a spot light and shining it on the objects from a downward angle. I like this picture because it has a theme of time, and different ways that time is seen.

Kalin Bennington- Still Life

I chose this picture because I like the creative perspective of the toy cars. There are also many colors in the picture that make it very eye-catching. While the cropping made the picture kind of awkward, I still feel like the photograph was well done.

Jordan- Still Life

I chose this photo for the project, because I really love the colors in the picture. Another reason I chose this picture is because I like the way the grey's have a kind of reflection. The final reason I chose this is because it shows my love for hockey.

Justen - Still Life

I tried to create more of an "artistic" still life, with full and sliced fruits on an artisan cutting board. I set up a spotlight to create a very dramatic lighting and to make the sliced lemon "pop" off of the cutting board and the lime as well as the three bananas. I placed the apple away from the yellows and greens of the lime, lemons, and bananas to draw the viewers attention to the apple. This makes the viewers notice how important the apple really is to the picture, and how it balances the light and dark shades in the photo making the scene comfortable and relaxing to look at.

Madelin Larick - Still Life

This photo represents a story of how during the migration, some giraffes do nit make it because they are attacked by other predators. The more mature giraffes leave the little ones behind and keep on. In Photoshop I enhanced the colors of the giraffes, cropped the image, and straightened it.

Tessa - Still Life

I chose this picture because it is my favorite out of all 6 still life pictures. I really like this picture because I really enjoy candles. It was difficult to decide which angle to take the picture from, because I wanted the viewer to be able to see all of the flames from the candles and see all the different colors.I did not use a spotlight, or any light actually, when taking this picture because I wanted the flames to be seen on top of darkness and not on top of light, allowing the candles to stick out more. One way of interpreting this picture is that people come in all different shapes and sizes but we all have souls (flames) within us.

Kelcie - Still Life

Kelcie Johnson
This is my favorite photo because the colors pop out from the white background. It is kind of different from the other photos people took because other students in the class had photos with colored pencils but none of them looked like this so I like that its different from the rest. the background is also plain but not too plain because you can see the texture of the paper.

Lilly - Still Life

I chose to take this picture because I think of myself as an artistic person, and to use colored pencils to represent that sounded pretty cool. It took longer than I hoped it would have to get them to look, and stay, how I wanted them arranged in a circle. Using a light, I was able to get a reflection off of some of the top pencils, and it gave a little bit of difference between them. At first, the actual pencil part was really bright, and by darkening the center you were able to see more texture and it was easier to look at- plus, it also gave a contrast with the bright wrapping on the outer part of the image.

Amanda - Still life

I liked this picture because my theme was green foods and green is my favorite color, and I like how it almost looks like a timeline of the green bean, how it grows into a small pepper, then into a lime, then into a cucumber, then into a bell pepper.  I think the flash from the camera really brings out the color in the foods, and the background isn't too distracting.

Ryan Whitacre- Still Life

I like this picture because you can see the texture and the sharp lines f the rings of the onion. I used the rule of thirds and blurred the background so you would focus on the onion.

Ivon Nguyen - Stilllife

This picture is my favorite stilllife photo because you
can see the way the light is position. The light is focusing
on the top left of the bow of oranges and around the bowl
is a dark shadow, making you focus inside of the dark shadow
rather than the outside. I used a tri-pod for this to get it
at an up angle rather than the side or bottom.

Halle - Still Life

This is my favorite still life I took because of the aesthetic it gives. I really like the feeling of life that  the rocks and the plants give off and I like how it is all centered around this statue of a girl holding out flowers. I enjoy how you can't see the full plant that is at the top of the picture or the full plant that is on the left, I feel that it shows depth within the pictures as do the boxes under the background.

Shannon - Still Life

This was my favorite picture I took because of one, the theme, and two, the layout. I love the theme because Halloween is my favorite "holiday" and the layout, in my opinion, was creative. I liked how the spiders appear to be crawling on the skull and how the hand appears to be grabbing the pumpkin. I like the pop of color the pumpkin adds to the picture.

Jeff P- Still Life

I am a very big fan of this picture because i love shoes. Not only that though also i like how the black and white emphasizes the color of the shoes.
I really liked this image because of all the detail you can see in the helmet, as well as the trophy. I had trouble fitting everything into the small space that I had with the white background, and had to crop out some of the helmet and suit due to this. Overall I really liked how this turned out, but wish I had zoomed in a little more and had less of a wide angle effect with the photo, it would have made the helmet look better.

Dionte - Still Life

I really like this picture because the situation is easy to understand, and I thought it was pretty creative. The two plush emoji's were laughing at the other emoji who appeared to be very aggravated.

Makala-Still Life

this is my favorite image because I like the lighting that was reflecting off of the fruit and I felt like the bowl really complemented with the color it is. It didn't take too much attention away from what the focus was really supposed to be on.

Long Tran -Still Life

This is my favorite picture since playing the Game Boy was a large part of my childhood. The shine  of the Game Boy from the lamp I was using was nice, and the different colors of the games really appealed to me and how they were randomly thrown onto the picture.

Ryan-Stillife

I really love this picture because it makes the colors in the shoe that aren't white or black really pop out. I took my favorite shoes and threw them in a pile with a random order, I then selected the colored parts of the shoes and selected the inverse in Photoshop and set the hue to 0.

Samantha Emmons- Still Life

I like this image because the contrast of the different kinds of fruit and colors mix well together. i also like that the pineapple takes the center focus and your eye goes to it first.
