Halle Hao - Landscapes

This is my favorite landscape picture I took. I chose this because I like the way the moon is so faint and how it is in the center of the picture. I like the way the houses line the bottom of the photograph.

Colorpop- Ryan Whitacre

I like this picture because the focus is on the wall, even though it isn't in the very front of the picture. The wall is very bright, and the brightness is brought out with the colorpop.

Samantha Emmons - Color Pop

I chose this picture for my color pop based on the elaborate colors. The rainbow of the sign really worked well with the plain brick background and by making it black and white, the rainbow stood out more. it is also the focal point of this picture so your eye goes right toward it.

Colorpop

I chose this picture because I like the color orange.  I also liked how the flower is completely in focus and the background is somewhat blurred.

I chose this picture as my favorite because I like the way the two shoes colors pop out from the rest of them so I made the background black and white.

Kalin Bennington - Color Pop

In this picture, my little brother was throwing a temper tantrum because I wouldn't play basketball with him. In this moment, with the expression on his face and the obvious movement of the balloon, I thought the picture turned out very organic. I also like the vibrancy of the balloon against the bricks that can be seen in the rest of the setting. By making the balloon colorful and making everything else black and white, your eye is drawn even more to the balloon.
This was my favorite photo that I took, because the red and white really popped. I also chose this photo because of the hard edges so it was easy to see the different colors.

Color Pop - Dionte'

I chose this picture because I like how the colors contrast in the picture, and it demonstrates rule of thirds. In this photo I increased the contrast, and reduced the brightness quite a bit to give it more of a serious dramatic tone.

Madelin Larick - Color pop

I chose this image because the background was made of several dull brown tones and shades and helped the bright red stand out. I centered the picture because it was easier to do without "breakuing the law".

Justen Shotts - Color Pop

This is a photo of me standing next to a sign that says "NO PARKING OR STANDING".
I thought my outfit looked pretty thug-like. I was also thinking that thugs are people who tend to break the law, so I used this idea to create a funny(to me) photo of me 'breaking the law' by standing next to the sign that says "NO STANDING". Overall I think the photo conveys the corny message I was trying to get by to the viewer, creating a successful photo.

Lilly Woodard - Color Pop

I decided to stack up a bunch of colorful duct tape and take the brightest color to stand out. The green really shined through with having all the colors of the markers in the background and the other duct tape. With having all different duct tape stacked up, it gave more of a variant with lighter and darker blacks and whites, even though the color was taken away.

Halle - Color Pop

This is my favorite color pop image that I edited because of the simplicity of the photo. The cat is basically alone in the image and the background isn't too distracting. I like the off center placement of the cat and the way the rose is in the bottom corner.

Nguyen - Color pop

I like this picture because I really think the nail polish color pops out from the black and white background. It also gives you a depth of feel.

Tessa Wilson - Color Pop

This picture is of my dog, Cici. She has white fur, so I put a layer over the one that is of just her, and I made it gradient, but took down the opacity to about 40% so that she can still be seen. I like to take pictures of my dog because she is very photogenic. Something I would do differently would probably be to either change the colors of the gradient, or maybe use only one color on top of her.

Shannon Gonzales - Colorpop

This picture is my favorite because I like how bright the orange is. I like the contrast of black and white against the mushroom's color.

Long Tran - Color Pop

This was my favorite picture since there were a lot of things that could have been turned into color such as the person, the grass, the bag, or the bush. I ultimately chose the bag since it was the brightest colored object and it stood out in the background.

Jeff Avery Color Pop

I liked this photo the most because i personally liked the picture anyways but then making it black and white made it look better in my opinion. I love how the nature in the background looks being black and white.

Alex Metz - Color Pop

This is a picture of some candy with one piece colored in brightly. The color really pops in the picture because of the contrast of lights and dark's. Also it is funny because there is a starburst surrounded by skittles in a skittles box.

Sam Kruse - Color Pop

This is a picture of my friend Adam when we went downtown this weekend. I chose this because how vibrant the blue of his jacket is.

I chose this picture because I really like how the multiple colors on the door decal stand out among the background. The Gears really stand out and make the image interesting to look at.

Jeff Avery Landscapes

This is personally one of my favorite pictures because this is a random barn I found in these fields by one of my homies house. Then with the sunset in the background emphasizes how antique it looks.

Samantha Emmons- Landscape

I chose this picture for my natural landscape because I love how the trees seems so big. I took it from a low angle so that I could get the contrast of them against the leaves. I also like how you can see the sun through the small holes in the leaves.
This is my favorite picture because of the depth of field. the depth of the color before the black and white, which made the blacks and the whites very contrasting, as well as the blurry foreground, and the natural attraction the eye has to the tree. Overall, I just liked the way as you move your eye from bottom to top you get lighter grays, and the tree is very sharp, and looks very crisp.

Dionte-landscape

This is my favorite picture because I liked how it was taken using the rule of thirds. The filter made the picture even better, It gave it more of a sophisticated look to it.

Justen Shotts - Landscape

I took this photo of a scenery at Hocking Hills. I like the hanging rocks towering over the lower landscape. The sky in the photo also looks very pretty, it gives the viewer an idea of the type of day it was. The type of year that the photo was taken in is easily conveyed to the viewer as well, and I think all the ideas come together to make a successful picture.

this is my favorite photo because I like how it is so clear and detailed. You can tell that it is sunrise because of the color value within the picture.

Kalin-Landscape

This picture was taken at Geauga Lake amusement park, which had been abandoned the summer before. This picture is my favorite because of its ability to be 'creepy.' I lowered the saturation in the picture as well as the brightness so that it could bring out more of that eerie feeling. With the sign being the focal point with its obvious wear and tear, I feel as though this photograph does a good job capturing the isolation that the amusement park has.

Shannon Gonzales Landscape

My daytime photo was my favorite because it's so vibrant. I love the bright blue of the water and the blueness of the sky. The sand and the rocks adds to the picture and gives it a dull contrast to the blues,

Larick - Madelin - Landscape

This is my Black and White landscape photo. In Photoshop I adjusted the lightness and darkness of the shades to enhance the white in the puddles and increase the blackness of the night sky.

Kelcie Johnson - Landscape

Kelcie Johnson

This is my favorite photo because this is a building not like the others. I took this in New York while I was there during the weekend. This was an old church building.

Tessa Wilson - Landscape

This picture is the one I chose for motion. I took this picture on the roof of one of the Creekside buildings. I set up my tripod on basically the edge of the roof, and set my shutter speed to 10 seconds. I had to do this multiple times because the wind would pick up and my tripod would shake. This is the picture with the least amount of shake, but you can see that the cars were moving, and you only see the lights from the cars instead of the cars themselves.
This is my favorite photo because the path draws your eyes to middle and shows the depth of field. I also like this photo because the lights are very vibrant and really compliment the green on the trees.

I really like this picture, the way the sun makes the fog still visible give it a peaceful feel. The color balance is really relaxing and its just a calming picture at look at.

Ivon - Landscape

I like this picture because there are a lot of colors in this picture. The sun shining on the right side really gives you a warm feeling to the picture. I like how the building is on the left side and the bridge isn't smacked down right in the middle.

Long Tran - Landscapes

I liked this photo because you can see the different colors of the sky while the sun was setting. You can also see very far into the distance as i was high up on my roof.

Alex Metz - Landscape

I took this picture on a dock right next to friendship park. The picture originally looked good in color, but after I made it black and white and lighted/ darkened the water and some leaves it stared to look very good.

Ryan Whitacre-Focal Point

I like this focal point landscape because the colors look really bright, and the depth of field draws your eyes across the whole picture. I like how you can see the bright sky, and how you can see that this picture was taken from above.

Sam Kruse - Landscape

i chose this image because of the sun peeking through the trees. I also like how the lamp is glowing from the suns rays.
